Which languages does SupoClip support?

This is the published Universal-2 language list, including regional variants. Accuracy and speaker detection vary by language and recording. View AssemblyAI’s language documentation
Do I need to select a language before uploading?
No. The hosted app detects the spoken language for each video automatically. Changing the interface language does not change transcription. Clear speech with little background noise gives detection the best chance of choosing correctly.
Can SupoClip translate or dub my video?
SupoClip generates transcripts and captions in the language spoken in your video. Automatic caption translation and voice dubbing are not currently part of the clipping workflow. You can correct caption text in the editor before exporting.
What if a video switches between languages?
The hosted workflow detects the main spoken language. Accurate captions are not guaranteed when speakers switch between languages within a video. For more reliable results, use recordings with one main language and review the captions before publishing.
Will every supported language be equally accurate?
No. Transcription quality varies by language, accent, background noise, and overlapping speech. Language support is not a guarantee of perfect captions or speaker detection. Review your clips, especially names, specialist terms, dialects, and recordings in less widely spoken languages.
Are video languages the same as the app’s interface languages?
They are separate. The interface is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Chinese, and Indonesian. Your video can be in any of the supported spoken languages listed above, regardless of the interface language you choose.
Captions and processing
Why do some caption characters look wrong or use another font?
A transcription language can be supported even when your selected caption font does not include its characters. Check the language information beside each font in the font picker and choose a font that covers your script. Review the rendered clip before exporting.
Does filler-word removal work in every language?
Cleanup uses language-specific filler lists for English, German, and French. Other languages use a small shared list of hesitation sounds. You can adjust the filtered words or disable filler-word removal. Long-pause removal is a separate setting.
Does self-hosting have the same language support?
Language coverage depends on the transcription provider you configure. AssemblyAI with Universal-2 uses the list above; local Whisper depends on the model you install. The YouTube captions provider depends on captions available for that video and requires a YouTube source. Your AI analysis provider is configured separately from transcription.
Getting started and plans
What videos can I clip?
YouTube videos, Twitch and Kick VODs or clips, and files you upload yourself. Paste a link or drag in a recording, and SupoClip takes it from there.
How does SupoClip choose the clips?
It transcribes the video word by word, then an AI model reads the whole transcript and picks moments that stand on their own. Each one is scored for hook, engagement, value, and shareability, and you can trim, split, or merge any clip afterwards.
How are minutes counted?
Plans are measured in minutes of source video, not in clips. Pro includes 10 hours a month and Creator 25 hours. A 30-minute video uses 30 minutes, however many clips come out of it. Allowances reset every month, on yearly plans too.
Can SupoClip post to TikTok and Instagram?
Today you can publish straight to YouTube Shorts: right away on Pro, or on a schedule with Creator. TikTok and Instagram are coming soon. Until then, download clips with the TikTok and Reels export presets and upload them yourself.
Do clips have a watermark?
No. SupoClip never adds a watermark, on hosted plans or when you self-host.
Is it really free to self-host?
Yes. SupoClip is open source under AGPL-3.0 and runs with Docker Compose on your own machine. You only pay for the transcription and AI providers you choose, if any.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Change or cancel your plan from settings whenever you like. If you subscribed in the iPhone app, manage it through the App Store.
